OLD LYME – A beloved mother, grandmother and teacher, Beverly P. Hendryx passed away Nov. 24, 2020. She was born Aug. 1, 1948.

She is survived by her son Andrew B. Hendryx IV, daughter-in-law Virginia, and granddaughter Ophelia.

Beverly graduated from the University of Connecticut and earned her master’s degree in education from Central Connecticut State University where she later taught at the graduate level. A talented and dedicated educator, her expertise lay in the field of educational enrichment. For over forty years she enhanced the lives of countless families and children with her gift of harnessing and nurturing the enthusiasm of the most inquisitive and precocious students. Beverly proudly finished her career at Lyme Consolidated near her home in the town of Old Lyme …

Donald W. OConnell, 70, of Monroe Twp., Pa. passed away Thursday, Nov. 19, 2020, in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Twp., Pa.

Born in Lyme, Conn., he was the son of Walter and Eleanor Smith OConnell. He was a graduate of Old Lyme High School and received his bachelor’s degree from Mitchell College of New London, Conn.

For most of his life he resided in Connecticut before relocating to Monroe Twp., Pa. …

OLD LYME — Caroline “Carol” Marsh McCord, 82, of Port Washington, N.Y. and formerly of Old Lyme, died peacefully Nov. 2, 2020, at her home in Port Washington, N.Y. She was the eldest daughter of E. Lea Marsh Jr. of Old Lyme and Ann Letchworth of Springville, N.Y. …

… Though she lived alone for the last sixteen years of her life, she kept up continual telephone communication with her family in Old Lyme and visited on holidays and important occasions.

… She is survived by her brother Edward G. Marsh and his wife Linda of Old Lyme with their children; as well as Carol’s twin sisters, Jane and Elizabeth Marsh, also of Old Lyme.

Death of Ronald Vidou Announced; Army Veteran, Lifelong Resident of Old Lyme

OLD LYME — Ronald David Vidou, 77, widower of Bonnie J. Vidou of Old Lyme passed away Thursday, Nov. 5, at Yale New Haven Hospital with family by his side. Ronald was born Feb. 7, 1943, in Waterbury.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, assigned to the prestigious 2nd Battalion, 8th Infantry, nicknamed the “Fighting Eagles” and proudly served his country in Korea. During his time in the service he earned the rank of Sergeant.
