Old Lyme Boys Storm into Shoreline Semis with Big Win Over East Hampton

OLD LYME— Yesterday afternoon, playing on their home court, the third-seeded Lyme-Old Lyme boys pulled off a convincing 61-46 win over #6 seeds East Hampton in the Shoreline Conference quarter finals.

The Wildcats now advance to the semi-final round where they will meet the second-seeded Morgan away on Tuesday evening. Morgan defeated Hale Ray 64-44 in their quarter final match-up.

Senior Night is Victory Night! Old Lyme Soundly Defeats Putnam

OLD LYME— Monday was Senior Night for the Old Lyme Wildcats and the team rose to the occasion by crushing the Putnam Clippers 66-38. This special night is traditionally the final home game of the regular season and the student section was packed with enthusiastic supporters of the five seniors on the team complete with placards bearing outsize photos of each senior.

Senior Night brought out a strong showing from the student section.

Senior Charlie Sahadi scored a team-high 18 points including four three-pointers.

Fellow senior Jack Porter added 12 points.

All five seniors provided a formidable defense for the Putnam team.

Noah Rudman notched 19 points for the Clippers while Nick Devlin added 10 .

Old Lyme’s Shoreline Conference record is now11-4 with their overall record standing at 14-5.

The Wildcats have qualified for both the Shoreline and CIAC State Championships. The first game in the Shoreline Tournament is this Saturday . Their opponent will be determined after Wednesday’s game against North Branford.

Old Lyme Boys Pull Off Strong Performance to Defeat Montville 57-48

MONTVILLE/OLD LYME—The Old Lyme boys pulled off a well-deserved win Thursday night, defeating Montville 57-48 thus advancing their overall season record to 13-5.

Significantly, Montville play in the Class M Division in the CIAC State Tournament and so would be expected to be a tough opponent.

The Wildcats Conference record remains 11-4.

OLD LYME—Playing away, Wednesday evening, Old Lyme pulled off a huge win against the Coginchaug Blue Devils in a high-scoring game that saw the Wildcats score 31 out of a possible 40 points from the free-throw line.

The final score of 76-64 included a remarkable 35 points from Wildcat freshman Eddie Fiske, 13 of which were free throw points out of a possible 18

Alec Rodrigue: notched 17 points for the Blue Devils while Preston Mennone: added 16.

Old Lyme’s Shoreline Conference record: now stands at10-4 and their overall record is 11-5.

Two Big Wins in One Week for Old Lyme Boys

WESTBROOK/OLD LYME — On Tuesday, Feb. 6, despite a challenging first half, Lyme-Old Lyme came back strong against the Westbrook Knights and dominated the second half. Ultimately, the Wildcats soundly defeated Westbrook 60-33.

Senior Leland Hine scored a game-high 16 points for the Wildcats, closely followed by Charlie Sahadi with 15.

On Friday, Feb. 9, playing at home in what has traditionally been called ‘The Battle of the Bridge,’ Old Lyme crushed Old Saybrook 69-25.

Hine was again the top scorer in the game for the Wildcats with 21 points with Charlie Sahadi contributing 12 points

After both games, the Wildcat’s Conference record now stands at 10-4 with their overall record at11-5.

Old Lyme’s next game was scheduled Tuesday away at Coginchaug. It will be rescheduled since LOL Schools are closed tomorrow due to the weather.
