Morning Harmony by Renni Ridgeway-Korsmeyer is the signature painting of her new exhibition at the Fresh Ayer Gallery.

There will be an opening reception at the Fresh Ayer Gallery in Old Lyme this coming Sunday, Dec. 1, from 2 to 4 p.m. for an exhibition by Renni Ridgeway-Korsmeyer titled, “All New Works.”

Korsmeyer, a resident of Old Lyme, works in oils and pastels, painting both in her studio and en plein air.  In her subtle, sensitive landscapes of the shore, sky and marshes, she captures a moment in time, emphasizing the changes in nature which –like the feelings of the artist and viewer — unfold, shift and evolve.

Her work is prized for the emotional connection it creates between the viewer and the landscape.

The gallery, located opposite The Hideaway, is offering a ‘December Special’ of 10 percent off all fine art over $400.  The gallery also carries small and affordable works all year.

The gallery is open on Sundays during December from 12 to 5 p.m.  Gallery hours during the remainder of the week are Tuesdays: 12 to 5 p.m., and Wednesday through Saturday: 12 to 8 p.m.

The gallery can be opened on Monday by appointment.
