OLD LYME—It was a great Halloween night on Lyme Street yesterday. The weather cooperated and smiling, sometimes scary, faces were everywhere. Community spirit filled the air and all the tension and tribulations of next Tuesday’s election were left at home.
Enjoy our photo essay of the evening. Huge thanks to our in-town photographer Michele Dickey for being there on the street to capture the fun.
We will add more of her terrific photos later today.

Fantastic photos. Mine didn‘t come out that well, so may I forward yours to my kids who were born and raised in Old Lyme but have very different memories of their Halloweens, going house to house with lots
of their school buddies? That happened in Jericho Hill where they roamed from house to house with only the littlest ones guarded by their parents from the distance..
Hi Lilo,
You can forward this article to your children by sending them the link for this page, which is:

Hope this helps!
I would be happy for you to share these photos! I grew up in town also and was driven House to House, including the homes of many of my relatives. I don’t know if Lyme Street was this active those many years ago, but getting little children out of car seats once and walking with their hands in ours certainly beats driving parking, buckling, unbuckling, etc., etc. many times over. Lyme Street is fun for young and older alike.
