Lyme Land Trust Hosts Seven Different Hikes Today, New Year’s Day!

The view from the Pleasant Valley Overlook in Lyme is unobstructed at this time of year. This hike is one of the seven offered by the Lyme Land Trust on New Year’s Day.

LYME — Begin 2021 with a New Year’s Day Hike led by a Lyme Land Trust Board or Staff Member, Friday, Jan. 1, at 1 p.m. at one of seven different preserves.

All hikes are roughly 1.5 hours long and 2-3 miles in length. Bring a water bottle and dress for the weather.

These are the hike options:

Banningwood Preserve – John Pritchard. Meet at parking lot off of Town Street
Beebe Preserve – Sue Cope – Meet at parking lot on Old Grassy Hill Rd
Brockway-Hawthorne Preserve – Ann Rich. Meet at Brush Hill Rd parking lot
Johnston Preserve– Wendy Hill. Meet at parking lot on Route 82
Patrell Preserve – Joe Standart. Meet at parking lot on Baker Lane
Pleasant Valley Preserve – Tony Irving. Meet at Macintosh Rd parking lot
Selden Creek Preserve – Kristina White. Meet at parking lot on Joshuatown Road

Space is limited to six people per hike.

Reservations are required. Email Kristina.white@lymelandtrust.org to reserve your place, indicating which hike you prefer.

Be safe – wear a mask in the parking lot. Masks can be removed during the walk as long as social distancing is maintained.

Inclement weather cancels.
