OLD LYME — Lyme-Old Lyme (LOL) Schools Superintendent announced yesterday afternoon that today would be a ‘Snow Day’ and so all LOL Schools are closed today due to the foot of snow dropped on Lyme and Old Lyme by Winter Storm Gail.

The Old Lyme Board of Selectmen has announced a parking ban on Lyme Street today from 12 a.m. (midnight) until 6 p.m.

The Transfer Station on Four Mile River Rd. will also be closed today.

The trash and recycling company servicing Old Lyme, CWPM, has committed to attempt to make collections Thursday.

If, however, the weather becomes too challenging for their drivers, Thursday pick-ups will be made on Friday along with the regular Friday collection.
