Celebrate the New Year by Taking a Walk in the Woods Today

Start the New Year off with a refreshing walk in the woods today. All are welcome.

Wendolyn Hill, Lyme Land Trust Board member, and Lyme Open Space Coordinator, will lead a walk to the overlook in Pleasant Valley Preserve. The walk will start at 1 p.m. and end around 3:30 p.m. approximately.

This is the time of year to get a beautiful unobstructed view of the Lyme vista. The walk is moderately easy with a long, gentle climb to reach the overlook. The walk will follow a portion of the newly opened George and Rosemary Moore Trail.

The New Year’s Day walk will have a rest break at the Pleasant Vally overlook.

The entire walk is about three miles. There will be a snack break on the overlook. Bring something to drink.

Inclement weather cancels. Check for walk and/or weather updates at http://www.lymelandtrust.org/event/end-of-year-hike-peasant-valley-overlook-2/

Directions: Rte. 156 north to left on Macintosh Rd. (across from Beaver Brook Road.) The parking area is about ΒΌ mile down on the right.
