The Lyme-Old Lyme Chamber of Commerce hosts Business After Hours at Lenny’s on the Beach on Hartford Ave. in Sound View this evening, Wednesday, May 18, starting at 6 p.m. and running through 7:30 p.m. After the meeting and networking time, dinner at Lenny’s is an optional add-on to the evening.
All are welcome especially potential new members of the Chamber. Admission is free.

Greg Stroud from SECoast will give a brief presentation about the current situation regarding the Federal Railroad proposal Alternative #1. Stroud has been a leader in the effort to stop the new rail from going through Old Lyme’s business and historic districts. He will discuss the scope of the project, how the town has fought it, and action needed to help stop this alternative.
Stroud will also touch on how Old Lyme businesses might be affected, and how business and and residential property values are already being impacted.
