Artist Christian Brechneff will sign copies of his book written with Tim Lovejoy,  “The Greek House: The Story of a Young Painter’s Love Affair with the Island of  Sifnos,” from 5 to 8 p.m., Friday, June 14, at the Cooley Gallery, 25 Lyme St., Old  Lyme.

“The Greek House” is narrative about Brechneff’s relationship to Greek island  of Sifnos and how it became a haven from the complexities of his life in Western  Europe and New York.

A selection of Brechneff’s drawings and paintings from Greece and around New England will also be on display at The Cooley Gallery through July 13.
