Another Magnificent Midsummer Festival in Old Lyme

There seems to be a long tradition in Old Lyme that the weather cooperates with the annual Midsummer Festival.  And so it was again in 2010 … from Friday evening when concert-goers gathered behind the Florence Griswold Museum through to yesterday evening when fireworks lit up the sky behind the high school, skies were clear and the air was warm … or rather, positively hot during the day!

A large crowd gathers to hear Ed Fast and Conga Bop play Caribbean tunes in an idyllic setting behind the Florence Griswold Museum.

 

The band played some lively numbers.
Looking up at Marshview, the scene was a sea of contented picnickers.
On Saturday, the Friends of Old Lyme Phoebe Griffin Noyes Library held a second-hand book sale in frotn od the Lyme Art Association (LAA).
