Pfeiffer Speaks on ‘Preserving Old Lyme’s Historic/Cultural Resources’
The Old Lyme Historical Society will host its sixth annual dinner and lecture on Friday, May 10, at 6 p.m. at the Lymes’ Senior Center, 26 Town Woods Rd., Old Lyme.
In this continuing series, Old Lyme Town Historian, Dr. John Pfeiffer will present a lecture titled “Preserving Old Lyme’s Historic/Cultural Resources”. His discussion will cover the wide array of historic structures that reveal so much about the lives of our forebears and the equally rich prehistoric places occupied by Native Americans throughout Old Lyme.
A long time researcher, Dr. Pfeiffer will also focus on the nagging questions of assessing the value of this cultural and historic legacy and establishing approaches to its conservation and preservation.
The evening will begin with libations and a delicious Chicken Masala and flank steak dinner catered by Coffee’s Country Market — Dr. Pfeiffer’s talk will follow.
Tickets are $30 per person in advance or $35 at the door, if there is availability.
