Trivia Bee Brings a Bounty of Brains Into Battle

Urged on by their own set of cheering supporters, 26 teams from a variety of Lyme and Old Lyme non-profit organizations, town government, schools, sports groups and local businesses battled down to the final question last night to see who would win the coveted Honey Pot Trophy in the first Annual Trivia Bee.

A few out of town teams like the Guilford Geeniuses and Zelmanow Dental from East Lyme also participated.

Lyme-Old Lyme Education Foundation President Michael Kane, dressed appropriately as a beekeeper, entertained the large audience with all kinds of pre-event festivities.

    Where did the name “Jeep” come from ?

    (answer)….. The very first Jeeps produced during WWII were labeled with “GP” (general purpose)….. and so the name “Jeep” originated from the pronunciation of “GP”……
